Employment Visa to Employment Visa
In case, the applicant with employment visa presently staying the in the UAE and his previous visa has been cancelled and he is unable to exit from the country then the applicant has to follow this procedure to change his visa status:
First of all, you have to make an application for new employment visa with giving DH 1020 which is a typing charge that can be paid at the immigration counter in cash or at typing centers in the UAE.
After issuance of the employment visa you need to pay DH 540 at the typing centre and need to write a status change application. The new visa, original passport and current visit visa is required along with the application.
Status change should be completed before the expiry of the grace period or visit visa. After status change the applicant’s file will automatically transferred to the new sponsor.
Fine: In case, there is a delay by the applicant, then he has to pay AED 25 per day at the immigration counter at the time of status change application and for visit visa the amount of fine may be different.
Residence Visa change to residence visa
If you wish to convert your cancelled visa or current visit visa into residence visa then you have to pay AED 650 to get your residence visa to stay inside the country. You can pay this amount at the immigration centers or typing centers.
After the residence visa is issued, another AED 540 extra payment need for status change application. You need current visit visa, new visa and original passport with you as document required.
Change in your status of visa should be done before the expiry of the grace period or visit visa. The applicant’s file will be transferred to the new sponsor after the completion of this process.
Fine: In case, there is a delay in the application, AED 25 per day will be charged at the time of the change of status at the immigration counter. The amount of fine may be different if the applicant is on visit visa. Medical tests are done only after the change of status.
