A desert safari and city tour are the two experiences that define a Dubai trip. The desert safari gives you dune bashing, camel rides, and a BBQ dinner under the stars. The city tour takes you through Dubai’s iconic landmarks — from the Burj Al Arab to the Gold Souk. If your package does not include both, you are missing the heart of Dubai.

Good news: every one of our Dubai holiday packages includes both a desert safari and a city tour as standard. You do not pay extra for these — they are built into the package price.

What Is Included in the Desert Safari?

Our desert safari is a complete evening experience lasting approximately 6 hours (typically 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM). Here is exactly what happens:

• Hotel pickup in a 4×4 Land Cruiser — comfortable, air-conditioned transfer to the desert
• Dune bashing (30–45 minutes): An adrenaline-pumping ride over the red sand dunes of Lehbab or Al Awir desert. The driver is professionally trained for safety
• Sunset photo stop: The desert sunset is stunning — your driver stops at the best vantage point
• Camel riding: A short ride on a traditional Arabian camel around the campsite
• Sandboarding: Slide down the dunes on a board — easy to learn and fun for all ages
• Arabic campsite experience: Henna painting, Arabic coffee and dates, shisha, traditional costume photo opportunity
• Live entertainment: Tanoura dance (spinning Sufi performance) and belly dance show
• BBQ dinner buffet: Grilled meats, Arabic salads, hummus, bread, and desserts. Vegetarian options available
• Hotel drop-off: Return transfer to your hotel by 9:30–10:00 PM

The desert safari alone is worth AED 130 per person if booked separately. In our packages, it is included at no extra cost.

What Is Included in the Dubai City Tour?

The half-day city tour (approximately 4–5 hours, morning or afternoon) covers Dubai’s most iconic landmarks:

• Burj Al Arab photo stop: The iconic sail-shaped hotel — photo from the beach or Jumeirah public beach
• Jumeirah Mosque: Beautiful Islamic architecture — exterior photo stop
• Dubai Museum (Al Fahidi Fort): Dubai’s history from fishing village to global city
• Dubai Creek crossing: Traditional abra (water taxi) ride across the creek — AED 1 but priceless experience
• Gold Souk: Walk through the world’s largest gold market
• Spice Souk: Aromatic spices, saffron, and traditional perfumes

In our packages, yes — every package from 2 nights onwards includes a full evening desert safari with dune bashing, camel ride, sandboarding, BBQ dinner, and entertainment at no extra cost. Some other providers charge extra, so always check before booking.

Is the city tour a guided tour?

Yes, our city tour is guided with a knowledgeable local guide who explains the history and significance of each landmark. Transport is in an air-conditioned vehicle. The tour runs approximately 4–5 hours.

Can I do the desert safari with kids?

Children aged 3+ can join the desert safari including dune bashing. The experience is safe with professional drivers. Kids particularly love the camel rides, sandboarding, and BBQ dinner. Children under 3 can attend the campsite portion but should skip the dune bashing for comfort.

What should I wear for the desert safari?

Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal. Avoid heels — the camp is on sand. Bring a light jacket for the evening (desert temperatures drop after sunset). Sunglasses and sunscreen recommended for the dune bashing portion. We provide everything else you need.

Can I choose between morning and evening safari?

Our standard package includes the evening safari (most popular for the dinner and entertainment). If you prefer a morning safari, we can swap it as part of a custom package request.
