Indian Pavilion Expo 2020

Visitors to the Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will see a triumphant demonstration of how far India has come as a country and what the future has in store.

While past exhibitions have generally shown a substantial disparity between India’s pavilion and those of the US and China, this time India will have a comparably large pavilion to its competitors. The pavilion, which spans approximately one lakh square feet, contains a multistory structure that will be used for social-cultural events, business-to-business meetings and digital exhibitions.

Initially, India focused solely on Indian handicrafts. However, the government wishes to give a more comprehensive picture of India this year, demonstrating their ties to the past while also demonstrating the transformation into a dynamic modern nation. The pavilion will be centered on potential, environmentalism and accessibility. It will be a complete demonstration of how India is ready to compete on the global stage.

The Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be fast-paced and vibrant. The visitors can participate in activities that range from space travel to exploring space by themselves.

In a video released by the Expo 2020 team, you can look at the walkthrough of four storeys of the pavilion. The 4-storey has been divided into two different parts. These parts are divided into 11 themes – space, urban & rural development, climate & biodiversity, knowledge & learning, global goals, food agriculture & livelihood, golden jubilee, etc.

The enormous Indian pavilion showcases a huge kinetic façade which is made up of 600 colorful separate blocks that keep moving as the viewer walks by. The mosaics are created as the panels revolve about their axes, each portraying various themes. It captures the spirit of ‘India on the move’ with its unique blend of the rich history and technological progress in India.

The façade will display 75 different stories that are presented over for 26 weeks to celebrate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. During the evening hours, the façade will be illuminated with lights, music, and displays. The government’s Make in India, Skill India, Digital India and Start-up India campaigns, as well as many other initiatives, will be the focal points of the event.

The Expo will commence on October 1 with a ceremony at Al Wasl Plaza. It will continue till March 31, 2022, with the closing ceremony at the same location.
