Architectural Design of the Museum

This museum is going to be the architectural landscape of Emirates. This first museum of the island is going to be dedicating in memory of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and timeline of his life, who was the father figure and also the founder of UAE.

Zayed National Museum is spread in 66,042 sqm area and constructing by renowned & famous Architectural Company Foster + Partner. This Museum is going to be a legacy of Sheikh Zayed’s life, a complete landscape of traditional Arabic design, Hospitality, Culture and love of nature.

Story of Tradition and Trend at the Museum

The Museum is not going to be only a memory of Sheikh Zayed’s Vision but also an artistic structure to be remembered in coming future. The drawing is a mix of contemporary art with traditional Arabic design and warmth. The main desirability of the structure is the five numbers of the solar thermal tower which look like a bird’s wing.  During heat, these thermal tower acts as a cooling chimney and draws down the cool air and spread through the whole museum. The main galleries are situated at the base of these towers. These towers are carved smooth and made of lightweight sleet formations to work just like a feather of a Falcon. The museum is going commemorate Sheikh Zaidy’s love of Falconry as they dedicate one particular outdoor arena as a live display of hunting birds.


Harmonizing the lightweight steel formation with a colossal internal experience, the galleries are attached by a spectacular top-lit fundamental atrium, which is tunneled into the gravel to utilize its assets and fetches simultaneously cafes, shops, a hall and casual venues for presentations of poetry and other cultural act. Throughout, the conduct of light and shade illustrates on a ritual of diplomatic, warily situated opening, which confine and unswerving the region’s passionate Sunshine to enlighten and sentient these internal spaces.


Bits and pieces are exhibited within alcoves and on the stone podium that increases flawlessly from the floor. The museum contains a selection of concert spaces. A large hall, lined with Arabic fabrics, offers evocative surroundings for appearance and films. The hall integrates more informal spots for poetry readings, music, and dance, where the viewers can meet to enjoy the display and feeling of conventional presentations.

The interior idea for the eatery portrays on the richness and warmth of the Bedouin tent, with cautiously chosen furniture. This customary space offers visitors a sole perception. This is the only place in this heritage museum where one can enjoy sights of the wind towers.

There is a big list of the valuable treasures, which are shortlisted for a big loan by the British Museum like the belt fitting of Sasanian gold, Assyrian reliefs, Roman and Greek valuable jewels and the porcelain of Ming dynasty.
